Pianographique

This is a fun site where a person can go into, and click on different type of themes. In these themes the keyboard is now a sort of piano. But the sounds and noises on this piano are not your usual piano keys, an also each key corresponds to a picture on the screen. By doing this you trype around to make a kind of music video with each key you press, and picture that comes up on the screen. This type of music brings you into a visual and musical experience, where each sound is a picture on the screen, so you musical experience is now enhanced as you sort of watch the sounds now, instead of just passively listen to them.

Public library filters

The public library has opposed the government filters, because it restricts free use of their internet accounts. Even though it may restrict the porn sites, it also restricts other sites that may mention porn, but they are not about porn. This can greatly inhibit the users’ research experience. I think that the library can control their own computers with windows filters, and monitor the research of the users. From the readings as I have said the government filters block other sites that the user may need to see. The First Amendment with that of free speech, allows the library to publicly display what ever content they feel is right to display, and allow patrons access to.
At this point, the library does not have filtering because they do not accept federal
$$$ and therefore do not have to comply with the federal mandate to filter
under their existing guidelines.

College Recruiters Lure New Students with new Technology

A) The essence of "cool", I feel that this word is meant to describe the most popular thing, that is advertised, and bought beyond belief. "Cool", is the term that describes the one thing that everyone should have, and most people want, the iPod for example is cool, one of the reasons that it became cool is the fact that the advertisement caught the attention of people, and the "coolest" about the iPod is that it plays the most popular songs to go, and it is very easy to use, so cool is simple and easy to use items, as well as the best around.
B) These cool hunters could create the websites that are more interactive, and a great visual experience throughout the schools website. The could also have paid raffles, for the alumni an the prize would be a cool object. They could create a cool atmosphere by keeping it easy to use with popular music and creative ads.

VALS Survey

B) The VALS Survey helps to determine what a person wants to achieve in life. It helps the program, i am sure to pick candidates for hire. Their marketing companies needs motivators and inventors of new ideas, and ways of doing thing, and i believe that the survey helps them to find new canidates, annd rate the people that are working for them. I think it is a good way for people like me, to know what excactly others thing of us. I agree with the two categories i was put into; Striver, and Explorer. I think that i always strive for the best, and the most of everything that i do. When i am doing something also, i explorer for new ways, and ideas to do it. I also am a natural explorer, in the real world, i explorer new places and ares throught my own world.
C) If i was adding questions to this survey, then i would add, how much money you would spend, how long it woul take to get a new one, and i would save most of the questions, maybe take a few away, i can't think of specific ones, but ones that would not be relevent to cell phones in any way.

Description of my Website

My web site topic is: Informational Technology used to prevent Natural Disasters. My first page will be a description of what is on the website. As in This Website includes reference to Natural Disasters and how they where noticed and how the public received the information about these potential Natural Disasters. I will have links going off to other pages that will describe the highlights, of this countries technology, and other countries abilities, I will include which Administrations that watch, and research the different natural phenomenon. I will also have a page describing the problems, of our information, and the worlds problems concerning information on preventing natural disasters.
I will also have a page with the most recent disasters that have happened, including Hurricane Katrina, and the Asian tsunami, and previous major events, around the world. My last page is going to describe what type of natural disasters we can predict to happen, and if we can or have started ways in prevent them, and what we have learned from past experiences, so that we can communicate probable disasters to the public.

Older generations attitude toward new technology

When I ask my mother what she thought of the new generation of communicaton with technology, she said that it is absolutely cruciul to have the new technologies, in our fast paced environment. With out these technologies, would not be able to affectively comunicate to each other the worlds events, or a conference meeting with the boss. I agree with this, because the only way i talk to my mom now is either through email, or on my cell phone, which both are a technological feat, if you don't think about being able to talk into outerspace.

Changes in the Availability of Information

I strongly believe that i have access, to much more information, much easier, this comes due to the little thing called the Internet, which allows any one to find out the world news, and events within seconds, i can find things out about a small town in New Mexico, which my grandarents, at my age could never imagine. I also know that there are many false publicatons of event and about people, that many things i may think i know something about, could just be a lie. Also i think there are more people willing to lie about things, and it is easy to broadcast this information accross the world, that people do believe it, because it is everywhere. It is easy to create a fake image now also, as in I could pose my self in front of the eiffel tower, even though i have never been there.
Anyways the world today is heavily digitized, and the world is able to recive news alerts on thier phones, PDAs, and through emails, which changes the want to know, and need to know basis of information. So i would think that my grandparents and parents, knew more important information than we doo today as we try to remember what each emoticon means. :)

Devices that were most commonly available to my Parents and Grandparents

The most common and practical information tool would have been the radio. The radio was the most widely used media, because it was sound, hearing instead of reading is favored by more people. The Newspaper, would have also been a widely used and pratical media. When my mother was my age she would have had a gret deal of influence from the television, from when JFK was shot, to a Coca Cola commercial. These technologies have changed greatly over the past 60, and 0 years, that information, may be too great. There are many useless informants, like t-shirt ads, even many television commercials now.

Digital Communication/Information Devices

I access on a regular basis a: cellphone, Television, for entertainment and news, computer mostly for the internet, portable music devices, music/video players - my computer mostly, electronic clock.
